Molded Foam Plastics

Molded expanded foam plastics offer excellent cushioning capabilities when used alone and in combinations with a wide variety of other materials. Using state-of-the-art processing equipment at our foam molding facilities, we manufacture products from a variety of expanded foam plastic materials including polystyrene, polypropylene, polyethylene and inter-polymers.

Expanded Polystyrene (EPS)

EPS properties include reliable strength, good first-drop cushioning performance and excellent insulation value. Typical applications include consumer product packaging, insulated shippers and automotive components.

High Impact Expanded Polystyrene — R-MER®

The enhanced, multiple-drop cushioning properties of High Impact Expanded Polystyrene provide extra protection for fragile components and merchandise. Applications include packaging for high technology products, consumer electronics, appliances and other high-value items.
R-MER® is a registered trademark of BASF

Expanded Polyethylene (EPE)

EPE material characteristics include exceptional elasticity, impact strength and excellent chemical resistance. EPE is often used in protective packaging applications, especially when transporting high-value, fragile products such as electronics. Other applications include solvent-resistant packaging.

Expanded Polypropylene (EPP)

EPP demonstrates high-energy absorption and excellent cushioning over a broad loading range. Due to its high service temperature properties, we often use it to develop heat-resistant packaging for electronics, and energy-absorbing automotive components, as well as in our TransGuard™ returnable and reusable totes and automotive dunnage applications.

Polystyrene/Polyethylene, Interpolymers

Looking for a balance of flexibility and strength? Polyethylene/Polystyrene Interpolymers, such as ARCEL® and Piocelan®, are tough, puncture-resistant and solvent-resistant. Ideal applications include automotive industry components, reusable/returnable packaging and packaging of heavyweight items. For instance, ARCEL and Piocelan are used by the automotive industry to provide critical shock absorption.
ARCEL® is a registered trademark of NOVA Chemical Corp.
Piocelan® is a registered trademark of Sekisui Plastics Co., Ltd.

Polystyrene/Polypropylene

High performance foam polymers, such as GECET®, offer exceptional impact energy management and superior physical properties at elevated temperatures. High Temperature Resins are moldable in extremely high densities. Applications include lightweight automotive components, building panels and cabinetry. For instance, GECET is used in the automotive industry to manage impact energy.
GECET® is a registered trademark of Fagerdala USA, inc.
